The Ransomes Mounted 214 can also be supplied with Verticut units, making it one of the leading tractor powered and mounted scarifiers on the market. This unit has a working and transport width of 2.14m, and requires a minimum 22kW of tractor power

Sisis Specialist Turf & Sports Ground Products

Over the years SISIS has supplied equipment to some of the world’s leading sporting venues, and now exports to more than 40 countries worldwide. The SISIS range covers many aspects of turf maintenance with products to suit all types of sports turf surface, from cricket squares, bowling greens, golf courses and sports stadiums. Aeration

Compaction caused by intensive use, is the single biggest problem encountered by sports turf managers. Sisis manufactures a comprehensive range of aeration equipment including:-

Multi Tine Aerators Two models are available, either the MT-4 for fine turf or the MT-6 for outfields. Spring loaded tines give a hole up to 10cm deep. A range of tines is available to suit varying soil conditions

Deep Slitters Four slitters are available, the Megaslitis the widest of the mounted machines at 2.5m, the Maxislit is a mid range model suitable for both golf courses and sports fields, the Multislit is a compact mounted slitter which can be adapted to fit most turf tricksters and finally the Autoslit, a self propelled deep slitter for both fine and outfield turf.

Scarifying and De-Thatching

Thatch is an accumulation of dead or decaying leaf and root matter, found just below the surface of the grass. Scarifying is the mechanical removal of thatch from turf, the following machines are manufactured by Sisis for this application:-

Sisis Veemo 3H This is a 3 unit, hydraulically driven, mounted dethatcher for use on golf fairways and sports fields. Double ended, reversible cutting blades are fitted for a long working life

Tigerake A compact mounted scarifier with twin floating heads, contra rotating blades and a collection system. Drive is via PTO through a self-contained hydraulic system

Auto-Rotorake Mk 4 A self-propelled heavy duty de-thatcher, designed for continuous operations on golf greens and tees, and all fine turf areas. A large capacity collection box is available
 

A heavy duty self-propelled scarifier with a maximum working depth of 50mm. It has 6 forward speeds and the ability to eject debris from the front and rear

Debris Collection

Collection and removal of surface debris is an important part of the maintenance programme, particularly after scarifying or core action. Sisis make the following range of mounted sweepers and collectors for both grass and synthetic turf:-

The Latamina A compact PTO driven sweeper with efficient collection of all turf debris. Easily adjustable spiral brushes drive debris into the large collection hopper. Three point linkage mounted it has a single acting hydraulic tipping facility

The Latima SH A variant on the above, for use on synthetic pitches

The Latimisa Is a tractor mounted sweeper and collector for use on golf fairways, parkland and playing fields. The high tip hopper can be emptied without the operator leaving the tractor seat
 
 

Seeding

Seasonal overseeding is required on most sports surfaces, where concentrated play leads to excessive wear in localized areas. Seeders for both fine and outfield turf are available
 

The Sisis Variseeder is ideal for use on all specialist turf areas. The Sisis studded roller creates thousands of little plant pots to receive the seed. The machine can be supplied with a variety of rollers for different applications. The variseeder is adaptable to use with most trucksters and compact tractors.

Top Dressing
 
 

The Sisis Autospred has been designed for use on bowling greens, golf greens and tees, tennis courts etc. Powered by an 8.5hp engine and hydrostatic drive, the Autospred is highly maneuverable.

Grooming

The final presentation of the turf is as important as any other aspect of maintenance, for most sports a smooth even surface is required, with good visual appearance
 
 

The Sisis Quadraplay offers the fastest possible renovation and maintenance of turf and hard porous surfaces, producing a true, level, firm but uncompacted playing surface in one pass. Up to four operations can be carried out simultaneously. A range of implements including slitters, grooming rake, tilth rake, brushes, rollers and a lute can be accommodated in groups of four.
